11-28-08 Peek-a-boo

What a grand day Thanksgiving was. Christian got to come home and spend the day with us. This was the first time Mary had all 4 of her kids together so of course a family portrait was in order. Top row left to right: Christian, Mary, David. Bottom row: Nevaeh, Julia.

11-27-08 Happy Thanksgiving

I am thankful for my family. And I'm really thankful that they have all grown up since this pic was taken, lol.

11-26-08 Barista

Need a little sass with your latte? The lovely Isabelle's your girl. She's not only pretty, she's also oh so fiesty.

11-25-08 Fresh Picked Daily

Oh how lovely it would be to live walking distance to a fruit and veggie market.

Port Angeles Harbor from Wind Surf Park on Ediz Hook.

11-23-08 First Memories

I must have been two or three years old when I lived here but I still remember this house. It was across the street from the Northgate Mall. There is a park and ride now where this house used to be with I-5 right behind it.

11-22-08 Post Alley Saturday

Just to the left out of frame, is Pike Place Chowder. They have the best chowder in Seattle. A favorite stop whenever I take my grandson Christian for a day at the Market. We sit at a table outside and watch the world go by.

11-21-08 Big Tree

I can't remember, was I facing the tree or looking up behind me when I took this shot. Which way do you like?

11-20-08 Rainier Bank Building

Took this shot a couple years ago when Esther(my eldest)was here for Thanksgiving week. I took that week off and we had the greatest time together wandering about Seattle visiting all kinds of places and taking a ton of pictures. This was originally taken during the day but you know me, I had to make it more interesting before I posted it so now its a "night shot". Don't even think of asking me how I did it. I don't tell all my secrets. I hope you enjoy it.

11-19-08 Wild Horses Monument

For Beautiful Deb. Just across the Columbia River over looking Vantage, Washington you'll find this array of "wild horses" created by Spokane artist David Govedare.

11-18-08 Lamp

Yep you guessed it. This is the walkway to the back door of the building I live in. Taken about 20 minutes ago.

11-17-08 My Street

I had to wait about ten minutes for a clear spot in traffic so I could stand out in the middle of the street to grab this shot yesterday.

11-16-08 Happy Sunday(Good morning Gloria)

Hmmmm...you think to yourself, how did she do that?

She found this Kaliedoscope filter for photoshop.

Well then what did she use for the original image?

I'd show you but then you'd ask me how I did that one.

Now there is another explanation entirely.

11-15-08 Paparazzi

Took these this summer at Denny Blaine Park on Lake Washington. We chose that location to watch the Blue Angels because it is less crowded than the I-90 bridge. Shot these when the show was over as we were leaving. They remind of paparazzi photos.

11-14-08 Ft Casey Hallway

This one is for Ken's kids. I used to take my film to Ken for processing when I first started taking pictures. We'd go over my images together and he would give me feedback and I learned a lot from him. Ken was always a great source of encouragement for me while learning how to take a great shot. Then one day he moved on and wasn't there anymore. I hadn't seen him in years. A few months ago I was at Ft Casey shooting with a friend and who should we run into: Ken. What a happy day that was to see my old friend. He was teaching a class of young folks how to take a great picture. So Ken, this is for your students. Keep up the good work guys.

11-13-08 Fish Monger (making change)

11-12-08 The Smoker
Just as I was ready to snap off a shot of a passerby he turned around and caught me. This was taken ever so long ago when I was still shooting film and learning my craft.

11-11-08 Rush Hour (I hear its gonna rain today)

The Mall Man

Mall Visitor

11-09-08 This was just a quick grab shot as I was walking by. He looks like a visitor from the past. I wonder what he is contemplating.

Yesterday I purchased the domain name for my blog. Woo Hoo!!! My very first “website”. This is exciting for me. I know its just a blog and not an actual site that I built myself but I’m still quite pleased. I hope you continue to enjoy my daily image posts.

A special thank you goes out to my good friend August Bach. Without him I would have never thought to start this venture. Be sure to visit his daily at: August Radio and check out his website at: August Bach

11-08-08 Helipad at Harboview Medical Center

The twins used to go to daycare nearby the hospital and sometimes Mary would wait with them there for me to pick them up after work. The girls loved watching the helicopters land. That is Mt. Rainier and the Pacific Medical building in the background.
