12-31-08 Night Time

Goodbye 2008

12-31-08 Gotham

The US Bank Center at 5th and Pike in Seattle, completed in 1989 is 44 stories high. Photo taken from the restaurant on the 28th floor of the Madison Renaissance Hotel. The red sky is a result of the long exposure combined with the reflection in the window of the surroundings behind me. The overall effect reminded me of Gotham City.

12-30-08 Saw Fiddle

Never let it be said that artists don't come in colors. This one was very colorful. She is playing a saw with a fiddle bow. I wish I had soundtrack to go with the picture. Very eerie indeed. She was quite accomplished in her craft.

12-28-08 Christian

This is my grandson Christian. I took this picture last February. When I went to visit him yesterday he gave me this self portrait drawing he did. He is 15 years old. I could never in a million years make a drawing that good.

12-27-08 Maxine's Pickity Patch

Colorful flower and gift shop by my home. Always fun to walk by and never boring to look at. The top image is for my friend who likes window reflections. Hard to tell where inside ends and outside begins and oh so many things to see. I hope you like it.

12-26-08 Friendly Smile

This is Luha. He works the graveyard shift at the 7 Eleven next door to my building. I used to stop in there once or twice a week for cigarettes and he always gave me a discount if I bought two packs. I quit almost a month ago though so now I don't see him much anymore but yesterday I needed cream for my coffee. I was coming home from Mary's and had my camera out so I took a picture of Luha. He has the best smile and one of the friendliest faces around.

12-25-08 Merry Christmas

Before the kids got up. Oh my how pretty.

Have a wonderful and safe holiday.

Odea High School

Took this with my crappy cell phone camera on my way to work this morning. Walked 1/2 mile in the snow. It was more like freezing pellets hitting my face. Wish I had my camera with me but sometimes you just gotta make choices. Had to carry overnight bag. My coworkers and I have been staying downtown so we could walk to work because its uphill and the icy roads make driving conditions treacherous. Yay I have the next four days off. Now if I can just make it home tonight. lol

St James Cathedral

Taken from the 22nd floor of the hotel that my coworkers and I have been staying at. Highly over processed by the onboard software on my work computer. I kinda like it anyway though.

12-24-08 Merry Christmas Eve

12-23-08 I think its a buttercup.

One of my favorite pictures of the twins. Julia on the left and Nevaeh on the right.

12-22-08 Naomi

High atop Snoqualmie Pass on her way to visit her other grandparents for her 1st birthday, Naomi lets grandma Bunny take a quick picture of her. This was taken last January.

12-21-08 Holiday Spirit

This is Jorge, the other half of the dynamic duo. He runs the coffee stand in the a.m. and his sassy sister Isabelle (posted on 11-26-08) runs it in the afternoon. He is also a very good photographer. We talk "shop" when I get my morning latte. One of these days we will actually go shoot together.

12-20-08 Fourth Church of Christ Scientist

The Fourth Church of Christ, Scientist was built between 1916 and 1922 in the Roman Revival style with an exterior clad in glazed terra cotta, and a two-story portico, with a pediment supported by six classical columns, forming the grand entrance on 8th Ave at Seneca St which is opposite the view shown here. The layout of the building is nearly square, with a large dome at the center of the roof. Directly across the street is the First Presbyterian Church with a large cross at the top of its lit up tower.

12-19-08 Madison Avenue

From the 22nd floor of the Madison Renaissance Hotel in downtown Seattle. This is straight out of the camera.

12-18-08 Bonus #2

Same view, next day, (which is today). Looks like I won't be making it home tonight.

12-18-08 Bonus Image

This is one of the many views I enjoy everyday while at work. Taken through the window in the break room.

12-18-08 New Addition

Adam Joseph Sammons 8lbs 5oz born yesterday around 5:30pm by emergency C-Section. Mom and son doing fine. This is my daughter Esther. She is my eldest and this is her second child. My 10th grandchild.

12-17-08 Ceiling Fan

I like how the blades fade out to nothingness.

12-16-08 Pittman Automotive

Old abandoned spaces have that wonderful feeling of nostalgia. I can just imagine the bustling business that must have gone on here at one time.

12-15-08 Mr Pidgeon

Imagine Mr Pidgeon's surprise when he reached the top of the stairs and there were no french fries.

12-14-08 Northwest African American Museum

The Museum’s exhibits and programs feature the visual arts, music, crafts, literature and history of African Americans in the Northwest.

12-13-08 Mountains

Taken from an airplane window on a trip to Ketchikan in Feb of 06. I've included a gratuitous wing shot for your amusement.

12-12-08 Mausoleum at Acacia Cememtery

This is one of my favorite buildings to photograph. It is beautiful inside and out.

12-11-08 Trinity

I've had this one as my desktop background a couple of times and it always has this feeling of real windows when I see it from across the room.

12-10-08 Ghost in the Wall

12-09-08 Westlake Square

12-08-08 Cineplex Odeon

This is the house that Aunty lived in when I was little. It is long gone now but over the years I'd go visit the property on occasion as there are so many fond memories.

12-07-08 Fixer Upper

This is what happens when you let your friend fix it up for you in Photoshop. Thank you August. I love what you did with the place.

12-06-08 119

The girl is "out of control"!!! (Did I mention Photoshop is addicting)

12-05-08 Life

Do you ever stop to watch the little changes as they happen or do you just walk on by oblivious!!!!

12-04-08 The Westin Hotel

12-03-08 Nutcracker Mojo

Ok, I have to admit playing with Photoshop can be addictive. Hello my name is Bunny and I'm a Photoshop user. Sometimes I get carried away.

12-02-08 Macy's Star

A sure sign the Christmas Season has started in Seattle.

12-01-08 Evolution

A good picture almost never comes out of the camera looking perfect. The art lies just as much in the post processing. Now that "darkrooms" live on computers the possibilities are endless and in the hands of the artist. If you don't like one version, you can always change it.
